Empty state – Milanote
It makes sense to inform the user that the app is best viewed or used on a desktop. However, the way Milanote approaches it repels me — It does not give me a benefit or reason enough to log into the app on my computer. Instead, comes across as a roadblock. It would have been better if they said:
Get the best out of Milanote on a desktop.
Log in to milanote.com on your computer and organize your notes into visual boards. Then, you can return here to view them on the go!
Ofc, this isn’t the best copy, but a direction. What are your thoughts on Milanote’s copy? Can you do one better?
P.S. Every day, I dedicate 30 minutes to reviewing UX copy for free. Email me yours if you’re seeking a second set of eyes.
