Challenge
AVON’s workforce was ageing and was no longer able to compete with other beauty brands which had younger women selling to their counterparts. The older reps could no longer connect with the younger generation which was being poached by retail competitors.
Therefore, there was an urgent need to turn this workforce, including the new recruits, more tech-savvy, so that they could network and sell better through virtual channels.
Resolution
To replace the in-person meetings and kitty parties, virtual parties were introduced through Facebook and Instagram Live.
To upgrade the social media skills of AVON reps, simplified, informative decks were created which explained them the step-by-step process of making it big on social media.
